USPI Safari  ISO 19008- 11 October 2022

On the 11th of October USPI organized a so-called Safari on the ISO-19008 standard cost coding system used in the project control domain to classify scope, activities, costs and quantities for oil, gas and renewable energy systems across the entire facility lifecycle.

In the session Chevron, Equinor and Shell presented how they are currently using the standard across the various project control disciplines, the dataflow in capital projects, digitalization opportunities, coverage of the standard, etc.

Besides major owner operators also the Performance Forum; a joint industry project; presented on the use of ISO-19008 in supplying data-centric benchmark definitions.

One of the key objectives of the Safari was to drive interest and use of the standard. With over 50 attendees, the session was well attended, and we had an open, interesting and lively discussion.
